Detrack 2025
Andrew Davies
General Manager, Detrack
I'm proud to be leading Detrack into 2026. We have a passionate team, operating globally, and focussed on solving our customers needs at scale.
We're trusted by thousands of businesses across 60+ countries to keep their deliveries running smoothly every single day. That's something I don't take lightly, and our team is laser focussed on constantly evolving our platform to deliver an enhanced experience.
I've had the chance to meet many of our customers this year, and a few things keep coming up - the need to make every minute count for every team member, competing to win with exceptional customer experience, and having real visibility over what's happening in the field. These aren't nice-to-haves. They're the difference between a delivery operation that can focus on what's next, and one that's wondering what the hell just happened.
As we look to 2026, last-mile delivery will only become more demanding. Customer expectations are increasing, margins are tightening, and the businesses that thrive will be the ones that focus on customer experience, and operate smarter. That's exactly what we're built for.
In 2026 we plan to deliver even more insights to your business through valuable reporting additions such as milestone visibility (i.e. how your team is performing versus expected time of delivery) and vehicle capacity utilisation, as well as extending our driver app capabilities. Every extra delivery - or maximising loads for the day - will have a significant impact on your bottom line.
We've improved communication with our customers, reduced overheads, streamlined our dispatch process, and increased the daily delivery capacity of our fleet.

It is very handy and makes my day so much easier…love all the features such as tracking, PODs, and being able to swap orders from one driver to another.

For many organisations we spoke to this year, route planning alone eats up hours every day - spreadsheets, guesswork, and re-work when things change. This year, we brought ElasticRoute's capabilities directly into Detrack and enhanced our core features, giving you one platform to plan smarter routes and adapt on the fly. Here's what we delivered:
Easily shift jobs between routes to accommodate last-minute changes. Updated sequences and ETAs update in your jobs table and the driver app.
When new deliveries arise unexpectedly, you can add them instantly. Detrack will automatically re-optimise the route with minimal disruption.
Create map-based zones and assign them to vehicles so that jobs are automatically assigned correctly, reducing driver overlap.
The API lets you automate jobs, plan routes, set-up depots, and export route details to your ERP, keeping everything in sync.
These settings make it easier to plan efficient routes. Includes new preset time windows, and options to export distance and time taken.
You can now set break time windows to ensure rest periods are taken, and health and safety compliance requirements are always met. When a break time is set for a driver, our route optimization algorithm automatically takes this into consideration when planning and optimizing routes.
We also made it easier for drivers and managers to stay on top of vehicle checks by introducing mandatory checks via the driver app at the start and/or end of each day. Managers can now receive submissions via email with PDF attachments, and review and approve checks for audit purposes.
We also rolled out a series of small but mighty UI enhancements that deliver more control and clearer visibility for complex workflows. These small updates add up to a cleaner, more intuitive experience, helping you make faster decisions with less friction.
Owners can now assign a trusted team member as Super Admin to manage daily operations, users, settings, and integration, all while retaining account ownership.
For regular, repeat deliveries, you can now automate scheduling and set jobs to the required repeat cadence so that they are added to the jobs table.
Managers can now independently plan routes and manage vehicle checks for their teams, allowing larger organizations to operate without relying on central management.
Standardised options for job fields speed up job creation, reduce errors, and improve reporting consistency.
Easily select jobs from the map for route planning or driver assignment.
Filter jobs by time in the job list and map view for faster, more intuitive route planning. You can now also enjoy better visibility and organisation across teams and regions with group and zone filters.
Search for jobs by customer or company name for faster access.
For 3PLs and high-volume logistics operations, Rate Cards have transformed how jobs can be priced. Instead of manually calculating costs in Excel, and manually updating invoices, users can now define pricing rules and streamline pricing calculations for multiple jobs at once within Detrack.
To all our customers who have trusted us with their logistics operations this year, and our industry partners who have helped us deliver seamless solutions, we thank you. As we move into 2026, we remain committed to listening to our customers, innovating with purpose, and helping businesses of all sizes run smoother, more efficient delivery operations.
If you're new to the Detrack community and looking to turbocharge your logistics operations in 2026, we'd love to chat. Here's to another year of smarter deliveries and continued growth.
